What is the Miss Arlington Scholarship Organization Program? The Miss Arlington Scholarship Organization is a local preliminary in the Miss America Scholarship Organization. The Miss America program is the world’s largest source of scholarships for young women, making available over $45 million annually. It is a grass roots organization, operated by thousands of volunteers at the Local and State levels. A sister program to Miss America is Miss America's Outstanding Teen, which promotes scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens, in addition to offering the opportunity to win college scholarship funds as well. Each contestant is required to have a platform for which she has volunteered and supported. Titleholders at the Local, State and National level have been active in issues such as: Breast Cancer Awareness, Mentoring, Volunteerism, Raising Self-Esteem in Children and Youth, HIV/AIDS and Diabetes Awareness and Education to name a few. The winners of Miss Arlington and Miss Teen Arlington will compete for the title of Miss Texas and Miss Teen Texas. The winners of the State titles will then represent Texas at the Miss America Pageant and the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant. Participation in the Miss America Program helps contestants gain increased confidence and self awareness, and helps improve their interview and communication skills. This will help them develop their presentation skills as they move into the workforce. In addition to gaining the attributes listed above, participation in the Miss America program has greatly subsidized many young women's ability to pay for college. How Will I Benefit from Becoming a Sponsor? - 100% of your contribution will help young women further their education and the preparation for their participation in the State competition program.
- You will have the opportunity to host the Miss Arlington Titleholders for an appearance, perform and/or speak at your organization’s meetings or events, and promote your business or group.
- Each business, organization or individual donating funds of at least $125 will be given advertisement in the Miss Arlington Scholarship Organization program book, receive an ad on our Sponsors website page, and will receive complimentary tickets to the Miss Arlington Scholarship pageant as well as on-stage recognition during the pageant.
- You will feel pride knowing you are supporting the world’s largest scholarship program for women, including Miss Arlington and Miss Teen Arlington whom will serve as advocates for their chosen platform while being active, positive role models in our community.
